Discovering all of these albums was the time of my life. Dntel, Shapes And Sizes, of Montreal, Stars, The National, Chromatics, Ariel Pink, Battles, The Thermals, New Pornos, Wolf Parade, Love Is All, Sunset Rubdown, The Elected, Beach House etcetcetc. The list goes on forever. Of course there’s Animal Collective, The Walkmen, Gang Gang Dance and all that lot but I’m talking about the ones that I have kind of neglected for the past few years, which are also the main culprits that got me really in to music.
It makes me think, I should quit listening to new music for 10 years and when I do eventually listen to music again I’ll have hundreds of amazing albums to discover all over again. Back in 2006 every album I discovered is now a fond memory and I would kill to get lost in all these bands’ music for the first time all over again.
