Spent the whole day at the cinema before Valentines day and finally caught up with the world. I watched The Artist, which was a solid film and had the most beautiful cinematography. Loved the dream sequences so much. Avatar’s still better though. I also watched the Descendants, which was so wonderful. I’m not much of a fan of Alex Payne’s movies but I was really taken by this. Great performances all ‘round. I also saw A Dangerous Method, which was just another run of the mill and very average biopic. Didn’t enjoy it. And I saw Man On A Ledge, which was a whole load of nothing really. There’s a mixed bag of movies if I ever saw one.
Now I’ve seen every 2011 movie that I’ve wanted to (plus hundreds that I didn’t) and I can now finally get on with making some sort of year end list. I’m thinking a top 10 and a select few honourable mentions…
